UBER MICH
Here are the important highlights, in an unordered list:
+ Mathematician
+ Teacher
+ Writer
+ Brother, Cousin, Uncle
+ Entrepreneur
+ Democratic Socialist
+ Secular / Scientific Humanist
+ Extreme Political Liberal
+ Small l libertarian
+ ANTI-AUTHORITARIAN
+ Annoying, Cheeky Bastard
If, for some unexplained reason, I like you, I will move the Heavens and Earth to help you whenever you need it. I will also very likely annoy the shit out of you. That is partly because I was raised in a barn, and partly because I don't sleep. (That can actually make one a bit crazy.)
I am out-of-the-ordinary for a Southerner (and, in fact, refuse to wear that label), eschewing television, football, hunting and fishing, guns, pick-up trucks, and voting against my own interest. I consider Movement Conservatism and Traditionalism of any type to be among the greatest threats to human liberty. That definitely encompasses most of the office holding members of the modern Republican Party (at least since the Nixon Administration) every bit as much as it does Wahhabism, Radical Islam, Political Zionism, Neo-Naziism and Fascism, Militarism, Extreme Nationalism, One Party Communism, Unchecked Capitalism and Capital L Libertarianism (which happens to be a rather Orwellian thing to call themselves, as they are as Authoritarian as anyone in history.) (It dos not, however, necessarily include many good people who go round referring to themselves as Conservatives, likely out of fear of social ostracism, who are in no way Conservative. Many of them, I fear, have been completely hoodwinked by Movement Conservatives into believing they are Conservatives. When they are questioned on specifics, though they lean as far to the left as a racing yacht coming around so damned hard she has green water coming over her port gunwale, like me.)
The government of the United States has clearly fallen under the sway of four of these - Political Zionism, Militarism, Extreme Nationalism, and most disturbing, Capital L Libertarianism. Where America's future is concerned, I fear that as a functioning, middle-class democracy we're doomed - we have no future - unless we utterly destroy the Modern Republican Party and much of the Modern Democratic Party. The bastards have sold us out, and our only hope may be a revolution. Unfortunately, we have been so brain-washed to think in terms of Tribes we cannot see our common enemies, nor, it seems, can we see each other as potential allies.
Yea, so, I sometimes digress into political diatribes. I don't own a pair of blue jeans. I don't own a tie. Any other questions? Just use the contact form.

I am often asked why I refer to myself as "Glorious Leader". I'm staking out the title so that when the Revolution begins, I have a leg up on BEING the Glorious Leader. Am I serious? I am actually the owner of a smallish publishing empire, and my official title, as can be proven by my company filings with the Louisiana Secretary of State, is Glorious Leader. So, yes, I am as likely as not, not entirely un-serious.
